Edgetech Instruments Inc. traces its history back to 1965, when it began operating as a part of EG&G using the ideas and inventions of Dr. Harold E. Edgerton. Not long after this group began functioning, EG&G decided to expand its involvement in the instrumentation market and acquired Geodyne Corporation (marine products) and Cambridge Systems (atmospheric products), creating the EG&G Environmental Equipment Division. It was Dr. Edgerton, and his tireless efforts to build better technological solutions to problems, that inspired the EdgeTech name, honoring him and driving the company with a commitment to remain at the leading edge of technologies in the markets served
